Presented by the Academy of Science St. Louis Learn about science happening in our community. Discover a different in-depth topic each month from local scientists in St. Louis. This month's featured speaker: Brian M. Gant, EdD, Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity and Program Coordinator-UG, John E. Simon School of Business, Maryville University Dr. Gant is an Assistant Professor & Program Director for undergraduate cybersecurity at Maryville University. He discusses his various roles within the FBI and United States Secret Service, particularly how it correlates directly to cyber/physical security within higher education. He also discusses the current state of cybersecurity and his passion for youth access and opportunity in the cybersecurity realm. A veteran of both the FBI and the Secret Service with more than 15 years of working knowledge in cybersecurity issues such as domestic and international terrorism, cyber, and electronic crime, Gant covers a topic of interest to us all in today's hyperconnected online world. Adults and teens. Registration required. Participants will receive Zoom information via email immediately after registering. A recording of this virtual program will be posted to YouTube within three business days.
