Layli Long Soldier is a citizen of the Oglala Lakota Nation. She's an award-winning poet, IAIA alum and mentor in the MFA of Creative Writing program at IAIA. In conjunction with the exhibition Action/Abstraction Redefined: Modern Native Art, 1940s-1970s, at the Saint Louis Art Museum, and the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA).
